| The adrenaline rush Jane Staley got as she finished her first award winning short story motivated her to try more fiction after several years of writing garden and antiques articles. The story Kite Connection which received an honorable mention in the Edison Community College short story contest, evolved into a full length contemporary romance novel with direction from Beth Henderson and encouragement from the Gallimaufry Writers Group based in Troy, Ohio. Realizing that she not want her preteen granddaughters to read the steamy summer romance, Jane abandoned attempts to get the finished novel published.
